As it is said by the residents, there was always more oil and wine in Sevid than rain. Sevid is a nice little Marina riviera place with family houses suitable for a quiet and pleasurable vacation, far from the big touristic noisy places. Another attraction are the archaeological remains of the St.Vid's, after which the place got its name. The most famous sandy cove, (Old Trogir) is located here and it is protected acheological locality.

Sevid (approximately 1000 residents) within Marina county belongs to Split-Dalmatia County. Sevid is the place which can be said to be located in almost intact nature. Places near Sevid are Trogir, Rogoznica, Primošten, Šibenik, Kaštela and Split. Sevid is suitable for nautical tourism because the coast is extremely indented. Sevid's residents engage in agriculture in which grapevine, olive cultivation and fishing lead. Gastro offer of the local products arises from the local residents' economy. On the table, there are always extra virgin olive oil, salty sardines, dalmatian smoked ham, goat cheese from Dalmatian hinterland (Zagora), quality lamb, white fish (bream, base, dentex), shrimps, seashells, lobsters, quality wine produced in centennial local taverns.

As almost every place in Dalmatia has its own festivity (fešta), there is an opportunity for tourists to engage as participants or observers.

Very near to Sevid are cities such as Šibenik, Trogir and Split, which are themselves cultural monuments. Mountains Mosor, Kozjak and Biokovo, which offer a beautiful view on our very attractive islands (Hvar, Brač, Vis), are suitable for mountaineering. Tourists, eager for a night life, can visit discotheques in Trogir, Split, Primošten, where thanks to famous Croatian celebrities, they can entertain until the early morning hours. Sevid is served by an extremely good traffic network and it is connected with other touristic destinations, whether they are situated in Croatia or elsewhere in the world- Split airport, the highway and Split ferry port.
